Certificate of Achievement

Our technicians are BPI certified.

Since 2014, the state of Massachusetts has required and enforced the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). This means that all inspectors, contractors and companies who are installing a new duct system or altering an existing one must make certain their work passes all duct pressure testing. Thanks to our BPI certification, HVAC Industries can make certain your ductwork meets the necessary guidelines.

What is BPI?
Building Performance Institute (BPI) is a nonprofit organization that focuses on energy efficiency and weatherization modifications. Authorized by the American National Standards Institute, BPI works with esteemed scientific experts to establish guidelines for residential energy-related retrofitting. The organization develops certifications for professionals and companies that in turn improve contract work so that it meets local and federal standards.

One of these certifications is for Infiltration and Duct Leakage (IDL). Companies and individuals with an IDL certificate can help builders, and the homes they construct, satisfy vital energy standards. IDL-certified professionals can test blower doors and duct leakage to make sure a home’s energy system meets IECC codes.
